Other community-type attractions include: An Oceanfront Community Center, where shows and events take place. The North Shore State Recreation Area, which provides a beachfront nature preserve and family-style picnic area. And the Surfside Community Center and Tot Lot, which has an Art deco-style outdoor stage with a small "Hollywood Bowl" structure for special shows and events.
