COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES SEC is located in Miami Springs Homes
Lua Curtiss House #1 built by CURTISS-BRIGHT COMPANY in 1924, this 5 br/3bath, 2 story Pueblo-Mission style house is also one of the original four houses built in Country Club Estates. This was the first of two homes built for famous aviator Glenn Curtiss' mother, LUA ANDREWS CURTISS. The north wall of the living room had large windows as Mrs. Curtiss was an amateur artist and liked to paint by natural light. The buttresses at the front entrance and the porte cochere, emphasize the massive look of the Pueblo style. Enclosed pool & patio, excellent view and location next to the world famous Miami Springs Golf & Country Club. Placed on the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1985. Designated Miami Springs Historic Site May 2003. This historically significant home is a treasure!
