About Midtown Miami

The real estate in Midtown Miami and the Arts & Entertainment District (Miami Arts District) are Miami’s newest and emerging neighborhoods. Both are located north of Downtown Miami. The Miami Arts District is located north of Downtown Miami’s Central Business District running along Biscayne Blvd. from Bicentennial Park to NE 24th Street. In the beginning, Midtown was as a visualization of a Miami urban neighborhood where people could live, work and play. Today it is a reality consisting of Midtown Miami condos and its 54-acre development. Midtown Miami extends between NE 30th Street and NE 35th Street on NE 2nd and North Miami Avenues. The Miami Design District is located a few blocks north and is also fast becoming an attractive neighborhood for shopping, dining and living and a well-deserved alternative to South Beach. Both Midtown Miami and the Design District are thriving hubs for rising artists, art galleries, special exhibitions and installations, and each brings an array of cultural, entertainment and fashion events to the area throughout the year.

Midtown Miami Arts District has quickly become the ‘it’ place of America’s contemporary art season during Art Basel Miami Beach. Midtown Miami now embodies a true urban experience. The area has seen its demographics grow over the past several years as it offers fantastic living and investment opportunities. The area has become a lively neighborhood embracing contemporary-design condominiums, street-level stores, cafes, restaurants, furniture stores and art galleries.

Notable Miami Arts District condo projects include 1800 Club, Blue, Opera Tower, Quantum on the Bay, Star Lofts and the new Paramount Bay. Moving further north along Biscayne is Midtown Miami which is just south of Miami’s Design District I-195. In the Winter 2008, the District opened its first-ever Art Park located in the heart of Midtown Miami that features innovative public art installations and a venue for the community to proudly display its own urban art projects amongst grass-lined sidewalks.

A few blocks North, in the Design District, an array of art galleries, restaurants and boutiques are sure to please your senses. Fine local restaurants include names like Spanish tapas-style Senorita Martinez, fine American cuisine Michael’s Genuine and delicious Italian Fratelli Lyons. Boutiques features famous European names, such as those of French furniture retailer Ligne Roset, Italian interior designer Fendi Casa, French shoe designer Christian Louboutin, German fashion designer Tomas Maier and Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto elegant sportswear Y-3 line. Midtown’s urban neighborhood abounds with art that is attracting young, trendy, affluent individuals to its upscale restaurants and shops. The scene, with killer restaurants opening on a regular basis featuring celeb-worthy happy hours, reminds you of a little NYC, but it’s true Miami living to the core.

The northern side of Midtown is quickly growing and is home to Shops at Midtown, an outdoor shopping area designed to mimic New York's SOHO neighborhood, and home to many national and local stores and restaurants including Target, Guess, HomeGoods, Marshalls, SugarCane, Mercadito, Sustain, Cheese Course, Buro Miami, Ring Finger Studio, and an abundance of upscale apartments. Popular Midtown Condos include Two Midtown and Four Midtown. 2 Midtown’s urban design is reminiscent of New York’s SoHo district with a Miami twist. There are more than 60 uniquely designed floor plans, with multi-level, loft and tower spaces that are best in fresh, urban architecture. Ware-house windows, exposed ten foot high concrete ceilings, kitchens and baths with the most modern of finishes tie it all together to give each residence an individual look that is distinct only to Midtown Miami. At 4 Midtown, one of Miami’s hottest addresses, the pool deck is a true urban oasis nestled seven stories high.  The architecture with its wide expansive wing-like components creates an expansive opening that emphasizes the panoramic views of Downtown and Biscayne Bay.

Midblock is in the heart and soul of Midtown Miami, Miami’s neighborhood where modern architecture intersects a vibrant city culture. Interesting spaces and cantilevered walls give Midblock a distinct profile that balances the transition between the surrounding high-rise condo residences and low-rise retail. The glass rotunda, a neighborhood beacon, is the signature of Midblock. A pedestrian base with shops and offices adds to the synergy of the neighborhood. Because, you know, a city is all about its streets, a pedestrian arcade, from Midtown Boulevard to Market Street is a mix of greenmarkets and street fairs. This is true city living! North Block consists of work spaces with a sense of style. Nestled above the shops at Midtown, you are truly in the center of it all. Office, showroom and gallery spaces with architectural details that you can’t find anywhere else; open to an outdoor promenade that overlooks the city. Unique double-high spaces, floor-to-ceiling glass encased in satin metal frames define the modern architecture. Open floor plans along with the ability to add a second floor mezzanine gives the flexibility to create a space according to your specific needs. Local shopping, restaurants, ample hassle-free parking and easy access to I-95 make this a desirable Miami urban location.

It’s a city feel with a city vibe. Don’t be surprised to see famous Miamians like Shakira, the Estefans, and celebrity chef Lee Schrager checking out Midtown’s entertainment galore. For an unmatched experience with top-notch restaurants and lounges, shops, and art that are exclusive to Midtown Miami, you just can’t go anywhere else. Eat, drink, work, shop, relax, stroll, live, and breathe in Midtown Miami. Sleep easy knowing that this Miami community that never sleeps has arrived, and is bringing new luxuries every day.

Art and culture are at the heart of this neighborhood, with special venues adorning the streets in an urban-meets-chic, indoor-outdoor setting including the nearby Adrienne Arscht Center and famed Ziff Ballet Opera House. Derailing from its history as a former desolate railroad yard for Florida East Coast Railroad, Midtown Miami is a “pop-up” city that is here to stay. On the right track, Midtown has strongly focused on bringing unique shops and restaurants from major metropolitan markets, like New York City. Owned by New York-based Midtown Equities, Midtown Miami has attracted innovative restaurants, and organic cafes to its scintillating retail selection. Miami’s newest condo lifestyle and entertainment destination has officially arrived at Midtown Miami and the Arts District!
